Ok I apologize for the lazy cheaters comment, it was a tad harsh, but I just beleive that a player who creates and thinks of his/her own moves is better than a person who uses databases etc to decide the move for them.

Yes, I've seen these wonderful people who think up their own openings. They usually start 1.h4 and 2.Rh3.
Chess is a game of borrowed ideas. Just playing games against stronger players will give you ideas to use in your own games.C
Why stop at openings? Let's make studying tactics books illegal. After all, we don't want people borrowing tactical shots from GM games. They should think up their own!
