can anyone tell me please: If c2 white pawn moves to c4, can d3 black pawn en-passant and if he does what position will he then occupy?
It's good to talk!!! 🙂
Game 2391672
Ok here's a pretty clear example of en-passant from one of my games in progress.
White has played 25.g4
I then took the pawn en-passant with 25...fxg3 even though white's pawn moved to g4.
It's as if the pawn only advanced 1 square even though he moved 2.
My pawn is then placed on the g3 square.
This move can only be done when the opponent pawn has double-moved from it's starting rank & you only get 1 chance to perform the move.
Hope that helps.

Huh? I'm threatening a pawn-push along the g+h files, I'm attacking the a2 & h2 pawns & am up 2 pieces & 4 pawns! (at the moment)
Agreed, I should tread carefully in this position, but I'd kick myself if I don't win from here!
Why - you fancy a game?😛
