Incredibly, Fischer once draw against 2...f6. It was a simul, but even so...
Here is the start of the game:

Fischer,R - McGregor,R
Houston, 1964 (Houston is approx 3,000 miles from Grimsby)

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 f6 3.Nxe5 Qe7 4.Nf3 d5 5.d3 dxe4 6.dxe4 Qxe4+
7.Be2 Bf5 8.Nd4 ...

I heard there was someone who had a real problem playing f6.

not necessarily. It won't be very pretty for black if it is played right, but it doesn't have to end with a loss

is that so? Please tell me where black loses his pawn after this line 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 f6 3.Nxe5 Qe7 4.Nf3 d5 5.d3 dxe4 6.dxe4 Qxe4+
7.Be2 Bf5 8.Nd4 which seems pretty logical to me. I admit that blacks position is not very good, but I don't see the pawn loss here... But maybe I didn't analyse it good enough

edit: didn't read your post already, but how does your position goes further... 4. ...g6 5. Nxg6 Qxe4+ 6. Be2 Qxg6 ?
