try FICS, ICC, playchess, uchess or any other server for real time chess if you don't like slow time controls.

If you want a rate of play faster than a move every couple of days then put games up with a 1/7 time limit (1/0 looks like you are trying to catch people out) this way you can be confident you'll get at least one move a day.
