Improv too? I might have to change my profile... 😉
Seriously though, that game I won messed up my play. Something to do with overconfidence and stuff...
Funny. He offered me 2 games too. He easily won the first one but on the 2nd game he mysteriously fell ill. But before he mentioned being ill, he said he was having computer problems. Lost his chess engine perhaps? He was playing crappy after that. This is likely his real type of play Game 3836511.

I suck, but I think I know enough to resign in a postion like that its not like you are going to play into a stalemate there.
Unless a player's rating hovvered around an average for a year or so, then suddenly increased substantially, I don't see how it is possible to conclude that a player is using a computer to play their games.
What, exactly, is used as evidence that a player is using a computer?
Also, what is a Chess Engine? Is it different to a Ches computer / Chess program?

Send feedback and ask the same question. You should get a response in your email within a couple hours.

Not blundering.
No planning ability especially in the endgame.
Not recognising a clearly drawn position.
High match-up %'s with computer analysis - over 80% match with engine's best move over many games would indicate either Garry Kasparov or Fritz is playing.

The above still apply.
Even 2000+ players make tactical mistakes.
An engine will brute force tactics at the cost (often) of strategy.
They play very differently to even the strongest human.
This has been covered many, many times.

Cludi did a post explaining this recently. I'll try to dig it up...
OK, thanks. I agree - playing a computer is different from playing a person.

There were an awful lot of blunders in that game for a 2000 + player.
We all make mistakes and some of those errors I have certainly made at times but so many in 1 game is a bit strange.

Not sure about this one. End games can be notoriesly hard and even the best players can drift at times although a long series of pointless, aimless and repeated moves that do nothing to improve a position would be highly suspicious.
