This is the question of quality or quantity.
Helden is still, after 8688 games, at a rating of only 1296. Only 96 points more than when he entered.
If he gave every move a more of a thought then he would have much higher rating.
If I would give someone two stars, then it would be those of top 30 on the list of highest rating with Akizy at the very top.

I bet the higher your rating, the more you tend to use time on your tough games. if you follow a game in progress between the top dogs, they move excruciatingly slow.
