I just saw searching for Bobby Fischer or innocent moves as it's called here in the UK.
Pretty good story of a young US chess prodigy, Josh Waitzkin & his early career.

I think that was a BBC film called 'The Grass Arena', which was about a tramp called John Healy who was taught chess by his cell mate in a prison. They didn't have a chess set or board so they just called out the moves to each other. After he got out of prison he joined a chess club and played in a few tournaments in London, managing to win one of them.

The film doesn't seem to have been released on DVD. But the guy wrote a very good book, which they based the film on.
'The Grass Arena: An Autobiography' by John Healy.

Unfortunately, it's out of print, although I've seen it for sale second hand.

Anyone remember that old movie which featured "The Turk"? I think in the movie Morphy was supposedly inside him, but I haven't seen it in years.
