This is the weapon that I employ against the Sicilian, it's got a couple of advantages for me. First, it avoids theory, and against the Sicilian this can be a big plus. Second, It's setup with f4 is similar to the KG, my weapon against 1...e5. And finally, the positions are pretty open and tactical compared to other Anti-Sicilians. The main problem is that I don't have a book with theory on it. I don't really know what I'm aiming for with it, or any mainline moves. I've scored pretty well with it and generally get good games and if I lose it usually happens in the endgame, but still don't feel like I really understand the positions. Do any of you guys use it? What lines do you use, and what books are good for it? Do you have example games of your own or top level games?
I used to play the Gran Prix (back when I played 1.e4). It was fun but at my club level at that time, people knew so little sicillian theory that they wouldn't be able to punish my deviations even if they recognized them. Therefor I quickly gave up the gran prix for the open sicillian which scored better. As I improved into the class D, C, and B range people started to punish my lack of knowledge in the sicillian, so I went back to the Gran Prix.
Thematic idea = f5 & kingside attack. Often Qd1-e1-h4 is useful. That said, it never scored well for me as it is too easy for black to drum up counterplay. I went to 1.c4 and never looked back =)

I went into this with minimal knowledge of the Grand Prix and decided to try and quickly reach an endgame.
