Well I had one where I played a pawn + knight sac which was ridiculously unsound but my opponent reacted badly and I won.
I checked all my games but can't find it.Starting to wonder if it was all just a dream 😕🙄

In my opinion he gave up too much material for the queen, he let you back into the game when he won you're queen.

4. dxe5 Nf6xe4
5. exd6 Ne4xd6(leaving the booklines,normally Bxd6 is played here though I don't think Nxd6 is bad)
6. Qd1e2 Bf8e7
7. Bc1g5 Nb8c6
8. Nf3e5??(a mistake that costs a piece) Nc6xe5
9. Qe2xe5 f6

11. Qe5h5 Ke8f8
12. Bf1d3 Kf8g7
13. O-O Bc8e6(not so grand,Qe8 was much better but black is still fine) 14. Rf1e1 Be6f7
15. Qh5g4 Bf7g6
16. Nb1c3 f5
17. Qg4g3 Qd8d7(rather weak again,Rf8 is probably best here but black's still winning)
18. Nc3d5 Ra8e8??(and the sky came crashing down. They don't come more terrible than this!Instead Rhe8 and all was fine)
19. Qg3e5 Kg7f7
20. Nd5xe7 Re8xe7
21. Qe5xh8 (being a pawn and an exchange down but mostly in disgust of his own horrendous play black resigned) 1-0

You do know it's against the rules to slip mescaline in your opponents drink before or during the game, don't you?

Damn that must have hurt! 😞
But a very nice example of my thesis that people play sloppy especially when they're easily winning 🙂

Maybe not a "comeback", but I sure got stung on this one!

Early on, I felt good, I was keeping up with a guy whose rating was 100 higher than my own.

Things started to go awry with move 22b.

Move 31W: I figure that I will sacrifice my bishop, he'll have to take it with his pawn. After that, I would move my queen to f7 for an easy draw, which would be as good as a win, considering the competition and I was losing at this point.

Imagine my surprise at his move 31b. I invented new expletives.

I was hopelessly lost in this game, but was still able to trick my opponent to a stalemate in the end. Of course it was more his blunder than my achievement, but I was hoping he would be so much on a roll and happy to take my last rook that he wouldn't notice the cramped position of my king. And luckily for me, it worked.

I'm quite proud of this one: Game 2049992

At the time my opponent was over 400 points higher than me. (He has since quit the site, hence his rating drop.)

He was up two pawns and was killing me positionally to the point where I almost resigned. But he didn't know where to go in the endgame and fell apart. He played 31. Rb7? and I thought I had one last desperate attack before I resigned:

31...Qc6 32. f3 -- forced, otherwise 32...Ra1+ leads to mate.
32...Qe8 33. e4?? -- That caught me by surprise. At the time his rating was over 1900+. I suddenly thought I had strong drawing chances.
33...dxe3 e.p. 34. Qc3+ Kh6 35. b4? -- another shocker. I then played:
35...Ra2! -- and I suddenly found myself with the incredible turnaround from a position I was about to resign, to having full control of the a-file, 2nd rank, a passed pawn on the 3rd, and an open king trapped on the back rank. The game continued:
36. Qc1 Qc5! -- And my opponent resigned, faced with the inevitable loss of material from the threat 37...Ra1!, or having the passed pawn pushed down white's throat.

This is my first attempt at annotating one of my games, so be gentle please!

A comeback draw for me, (playing the Grand Prix attack): Game 2185379

I blundered away a knight earlier and was in a terrible position. In this position I played:

11. e5 Nd5 12. Nxd5 Bxd5 -- forcing the knight away from the kingside

13. Bxh7?! Kxh7 -- the bishop-at-h7 sacrifice! I'm now two pieces down, in an all-or-nothing suicide attack!

14. Qh5+ Kg8 15. Re3 Nf5 16. Rh3 Bxg2+?! 17. Kxg2 -- At this point, I think my opponent would have came out ahead if he played 17... f6!, but the move sequence was tricky, and he instead played:
17...Nh6? 18. f5! Qc8 19. Bxh6 -- and the game went on to my opponent forcing a draw by perpetual check.

Game 1485846 (Sicilian Wing Gambit)

Probably the worst blunder in any set-piece I've played, but my opponent needlessly evacuated the centre instead of liquidating e3 on move 15 and I was able to fork him all the way to an undeserved victory.
