I was white. It is not easy to see that white has a mate-in-x moves😲

Reason he offered the draw was because you had an easy 3 fold repetition on F6 with the Queen.

I thought it was that, but if you run it over with a computer, it is a mate in 6 for white

Does it start with Qe5+ rather than the obvious Qf6+? The reason being that Qe5 leaves f6 free for a knight check.

1. Qe5+ Kh6 (Kf8 is easy)
2. Rxg6+! hxg6
3. Qh8

what does the computer say about my line?
(or did you set it up for 1.Qf6+? Kh6?? which yields 2.Qxf8+ Kh5 3.Ng3+ Kg4 4.h3+ Kg5 5.Qf6+ Kh6 6.Nxf5+ Kh5 7.Qh4# )

After Qf6+ Kg8 it's very clear that White has to take the draw. Black has a threat or two of his own!
