hey, i need some help from some of the stronger players on the site...
it'd be great if i could play any of you in a game...
but at the moment, i want to know whether, and how, playable this game is...
i am white
1. e4 c5
2. Nc3 Nc6 avoiding mainline Sicilian, i find it throws the devout Sicilian fans off they're game...
3. g3 g6
4. Bg2 Bg7
5. f4
here's where my question comes in...
it's kind of like a Grand Prix set up, which isn't so bad, but i want to know what u guys think about this...

This is mainline Closed Sicilian Theory. The theory extends well beyond this move and plenty of books have been written on this material. It's fine for white, but not as ambitious or as testing as the main lines with 2. Nf3 and 3. d4.
not a tactical nightmare...
any free sites ud reccommend with good info. on the Closed Sicilian?
EDIT:
by the way, i didn't know f4 was mainline...
i thought book had me playing 5. Ne2 or d3
meaning that i came up with the book move all my own...
*pats back*
