I assume you mean within the rules of castling?

Just move the king two steps to the right or left and the rook will move automaticly.

I think he knows very well the rule of castling, and he knows surely how it is performed OTB - he just doesn't know how it is done at RHP...

He's played 3, lost 3. He may not know how to castle at all. Perhaps we should explain en passant to him as well.
