I am new to the site and I heard about all this Soul Saxy business.
I want to know how to detect whether someone is cheating or not, it drives me nuts!!
I've been playing a long time and SoulSaxy fooled me, maybe because i'm pretty trusting. Some of the cheaters are members, some are not. Some message a lot, some not at all. I guess if you asked a cheater something like, "What do you think of the Morphy Defence in the Evan's Gambit?" and he was a moron just copying moves from Fritz he would have trouble or at least have to do some actual work to find out. What you need is an engine to analyze his (or her) replies against a variety of engines to see what percentage of matches you get. But i can't be bothered so i just play as if everyone were honest.

Originally posted by buddy2You know what? my rating is 1948 now, and i dont know the name of openings, this dont mean anything. I only know few name and not even sure, but i know how to play it. It not about knowing opening name. I take so much time to play one move, maybe even more than 15 mins this why i have very less gameload with me, and reducing.

Originally posted by buddy2If you are going to compare moves to the response of an engine make sure you do so AFTER the game has finished. If not, you are just as likely to be banned as the suspected cheat. More so if you admit to such practices in here!

look up the word "likely."
I can guarantee all the banned engine users were once below 1800 so it's not really unlikely. In fact I would say it is VERY likely that there are plenty more. It would be naive to think otherwise. They just don't look so suspicious till they get to 2000 or so..
