How long do I take to get to the top?

I'm impressed by the progress of some individuals and want to reach the top ten on the sight. How long should I take and what can I take to get their? I was told by a friend on another sight that the top guy on the sight was ranked 1600 USCF.

Im pretty sure he's rated a lot higher than that. A guy I know playing here is "only" top 1000 and he has a rating of USCF 2150.

if 1600 is the correct rating for the player, then being the top player on this site is impossible
