Any advice how to react with Maroczy bind?

I lose many games as black with this position.

Heck, I can't quite figure out how to play it correctly as white (always waste moves). Any information on this would be interesting.

Maroczy bind under which form? It can be played against numerous Sicilians, but it only really works against the Accelerated Dragon. If it's the latter, you're pretty much out of luck. There isn't any good solution. All of them give White the space, initiative and chances while Black has to fight for the draw.

I don’t agree with anyone that will tell you to play a different opening simply because you have a problem playing against the Maroczy Bind (You will not improve this way). If you like playing the Siclian, then I suggest you don’t run away from the problem, but tackle it head on. Find out why you are having a problem. I have played the Accelerated for years and have played against the Maroczy Bind on several occasions. I win some and lose some but will play it again in a heart-beat! Of course you have to know certain plans in the position but that comes with any opening. Black has some trumps of his own – it isn’t always White who has all the fun. Black has a powerful Bishop on g7 and can utilize an a6/b5 pawn storm to provide Black with chances on the Dark squares. Certain positions allow Black to play f7-f5 that can lead to attacks on the King Side.

The Maroczy Bind is NOT losing for Black. This just is my 2 cents.

I don't know anyone who thinks the Maroczy Bind is losing. The complaint is that Black has very little counterplay and space and White has a risk free edge which lasts even into the endgame. I've personally spent well-over 100 hours analyzing the Maroczy Bind positions with ChessBase Mega Database, and chess engines but have not found a good way for Black to fight for more than a draw given good play. This is why few GMs still play the Accelerated Dragon. You can search through history to find some of my previous questions, comments and analysis on this.
