My drive to get better, is a reflection of my personality. Im not content living in the past, i need to move foward. I have goals of acheiving chess mastery, and no-one can tell me different.
There are a percentage of people on this planent, that have in their goals, to make other people suffer.
People get sick, have accidents, fail in life, and are generaly miserable.
The only reason for this is this 20% of people. The other 80% want to do well in life, and are basicly good.
as long as one can recognize who these people are, they can do well in life.
Failure to do so, can result in disaster.
There are a few people on these boards who fall into this catagory.
Not maning names, but i spoted a few of them.
Im no angel, and i have been atagonistic here.
Im going to change that and be more positive.

Yes my rating is pathetic also but I haven't been playing chess a long as you and I don't take chess lessons. Obviously, you have to consider that fact. Otherwise, why don't you just tell all the newbies they suck since they have a lower rating then you because they new to chess.
You attacked us saying we were all dumb and stupid and your such an experience player and so much better then us and I did not appreciate that.
But I accept your apology for that. I'm done with this thing now.

If your 1600, how can you be so knolwdgable to offer lessons?

I am a bad speller, this is true. But i like to think i can communicate well enough to be understood.
The theme here seems to be a fixation with ratings.
true my rating is not spectacular, but i did gain 30+ points just today.
When i play 1 min and 3 min chess on ICC, my rating here suffers. When i play slower time controls, i get a better game here.
The point is, anyone can improve.
Being stuck in a "rating" is just getting interior to ones self.
A being is capable of extraordinary things. A rating is just a gauge of how a person does against other players, and is no indication of actual skill.
One should always consider themselves as strong. Anyone trying to derail them from this goal is not to be considered with any seriousness.

I read lots of books, read 7-8 2 summers ago when I didn't have a decent job and did that la maza tactics problem. I take my chess very seriously but I would not pay money for chess lessons just to get better. I would rather pay of my loan for school. I don't have money like that right now and even if I did I would use it on that unless if I was loaded. You don't need to be a master or whatever to teach someone chess. I could easily get someone to 1500 of course they would have to pay for my services. $7/ hour to cover my gas seems reasonable right? I would be the cheapest teacher in town 🙂

Like I said before, that post got deleted! and I though you were referring to the original game which the thread was about. That is why I was coming after you. It was my mistake since I though you were talking about the first game. It was your mistake since you were talking about your game, which was deleted from the thread and confusing everyone.

I wasnt aware of the deletion, as the original poster seems to have his game still up, and he was accusing the same thing. My game seemed more like an engine that that one.
I take lessons from a master whom i've known for a long time.
I did pay for some lessons from a GM, but im trying to do a barter, as there a little expensive for me.
The point is, having someone experienced go over your games and offer advice and instruction, will save huge amounts of money and time in the long run, so this makes logical sense to me.
Its perfectly fine to offer advice to other players here, and i shouldnt ridicule you for that.
Maybe a "Mentor" thread, or forum here would be a good idea.

At our club, a master taught chess to someone and in return the student taught him spanish 🙂 Win win for everyone.
I didn't even see that post before it got deleted and later someone mentioned that you were talking about that one. Whatever, that is in the past.
