Hunt for cheaters...

Is there a system on this site to detect cheaters... Chess program users ?

If by 'system' you mean some automated detector, no. To detect an engine cheater requires manual assessment of many games passed the opening (book lines) phase.

If you suspect someone is using an engine, contact site admin.

Ok... Thanks for your answer. I think this is a shame because I fear that (at some level) some players will use chess engines with impunity. Many other sites use detectors... Why not us ?

You'd have to ask Russ that question. I suspect that running an automated detector over all the games played here would be prohibitively server intensive.

No need to control all. To play my level a cheater would have to be rather imcopetent...

I rather like the concept of playing on the honor system here. There's nothing to gain here, the ratings at RHP don't translate into FIDE ratings and it's not like there are prizes, after all.

Cheating can of course improve a clans position on the silly net points list but that is another issue!
It won't affect the poster as (at the moment) he is a non sub.
Principally.,I agree with what you say.
Personally if anyone wants to beat me by using a chess engine then they are welcome.Why they would get any satisfaction from the victory is beyond me.
