Game 1506953

I am especially proud of the sequence of moves to win his rook.

16. ........ Ba6xe2
17. Rf1e1 Be2xf3

Was this a good game on my part? What opening did I use, if any?

It was well played on your part, but very poor play from your opponent. 14. Qf3 was terrible. As was bringing out the queen in the first place, and allowing you to develop your pieces while white's queen got chased all over the place.

Nicely done!
This is scottisch (3.d4).
Have a look also at 5. ... Qf6, instead of (immediately) bxc6. Leaves you the choice to take the knight back with bxc6, dxc6 or Qxc6.

14. exd6 would have given white a slight advantage over all, I think.

Well, he was playing the Scotch game, and you were playing it with him. LOL But, he made some pretty weak moves.
