When you're playing chess, always remember to zip your flies. If you do not, you may experience derision and chafing.

Generally speaking, don't move a piece more than once in the opening and concentrate on development.
As black found out to his cost here Game 1308198
Yes.

Nice one Buffalo.

That second move of the knight was a killer.

Both. Since communication is the goal, correct grammar (and spelling) are important in ALL threads.

grammar, of course.

How can you play chess well if you don't know your own language. 😛

This is so narrowminded, knowing that for a large fraction of the players and posters here on RHP, the communication is taking place in their second or third language. If this is your attitude, I recommend you to undress, stand in front of the mirror, and talk eloquently to your belly button.

I rarely pull up those from foreign countries and always check who they are first. But we're using English (predominantly) in the forums. So if you're British or American and can't spell for tophee (a recent example), then expect trouble 😛

Dump on the English language speakers first. Those who use "ur" or "i" for example. If we can't show a good example, who can?

Pity. English is my fifth language, or my third language in terms of proficiency, so I have a good excuse for my mistakes. But if nobody corrects me, I'll never get better. So please feel free to pick on me. (And I'll continue to pick on native speakers. 😛)

Nordie, you put many Englishmen and Americans to shame.
