either way, that line of pawns has to be one of the strangest things i have ever seen in a chess game.
Yes, the checkers zig-zag is generally bad. It's acceptable in the Stonewall (c3-d4-e3-f4) because White still has his light-square bishop AND the position is closed. It's also the kind of position that computers do not play well (relatively speaking), which is why Boris chose the opening.
