Kramnik should refuse to play... it was foolish of Kramnik to allow FIDE to run the match when FIDE is obviously going to favor the FIDE champion. Inspect the bathroom if it's such a big deal, but don't start calling your opponent a cheater and yelling it out to the world.
Oh and by the way, I am the 600th poster. :-)
Quick message to the Topalov supporter still posting here.
No-one important in chess has spoken up for Topalov - and nearly everyone significant has spoken out for Kramnik. Likewise, in internet chat like this forum, something like 95% of chess fans are now firmly in Kramnik's favour - most of whom were not so before the match. Further, a significant proportion of them believe that even if Topalov does win, he will no longer be World Champion unless he plays game 5. If Topalov wins whilst counting game 5 as a victory, he will actually have a *less* authentic claim to the crown than he did before the match. Most also think that the new Topalov Toilet Rule (that if your opponent goes to the toilet an unusual number of times in a previous game, the initial position is a win in the next one for you) is, to be honest, somewhat unreasonable.
One way or another, Topalov is already written into the history books as a paper champion - just like his grim predecessors Alexander Khalifman, Ruslan Ponomariov, Rustam Kasimdzhanov, etc. Hence Topalov supporters like you (alongside those claiming that Fischer still is World Champion, or that the undefeated Alekhine ought be challenged via a seance) will no longer get much of a reaction to their remote point of view. I write this just so you are sure not to mistake any future responses of silence for anything else.

It is almost becoming a reality now, that if Topalov wins, it's gonna be because of game 5!, i.e. 7-5 or 6.5-5.5. No one can say what would have been the outcome of game 5 had Kramnik played it, but the general concensus seems to be that since Kramnik had white pieces, he had good opportunity to win it.
Kramnik won yesterday. Match is tied 5-5.
IF Kramnik had won game 5, then the current score would be 6-4 in favour of Kramnik, meaning he would have secured at least a draw by now! And Topalov would be fighting to get just a draw at this point! Amazing how much difference a single game can make, huh?

Game 9 was certainly well played by Topalov and poorly played by Kramnik. Topa seemed much better prepared, made a few variations in the opening and used little time there. The match is now even in games OTB and Kramnik will have to play better in the last three. He does have White in two out of 3 and I wonder if we might finally see something besides 1 d4 and the Slav lines that have been played in the match.
Afterall, your lines were always the newest refutations and it was obvious to me that you'd put a lot of study into them.
Cheers

Originally posted by arrakisThanks, Arrakis but actually most of my lines against the Dragon were Fischer lines! But to some extent the Yugoslav plays itself if you reach the standard positions and Black doesn't react very aggressively on the Queen Side. Xanthosnz has some good Dragon games as Black and I have a few losses to it here including one to DustnRogers.
