Just received a weird pm from someone I'm not playing to someone I am playing 🙄

It is clearly part of an exchange of suggestions and ideas between 2 members of the same clan in what is a current game in a clan challenge, but 'unfortunately' the pm was sent to me rather than his clan buddy 😲

Does this count as offering or receiving outside help ?

It sure sounds fishy. I'd forward it to the site administrators and let them decide.

At least none of my clan are online right now so I dont have to worry about someone messing about sending you analasis for our games.

Hummm...not good for the confidence in the system, bad bad bad for the player/buddy ... :'(

Makes you wonder what else is going on behind the scene (seen!) and how often these exchanges happened ... 😠

Call it a very bad joke or cheating... people remember these things... 😲

It depends on the content of the PM I suppose.

A suggestion like "Ng5 should mate him in 10 - look closely at it" is definately bad but a suggestion like "Smith has just won making the challenge 8-7 to us so all we need is a draw in your last game" is probably alright.
