Na, the truth of the matter is, you can set up a new account so long as you never use the old one again. It wouldn't harm to click the 'Send Feedback' link below to let the site admin know also.

You should be fine so long as you don't try and play with yourself

Adam Warlock is a known drug-dealer and kiddy smuggler on this site. He also has large hands and lives in sock that Saddam Hussein made out of fluff.

He's not to be trusted

Hi Yuga,

Thanks for posting this. I saw the final position when I was looking at a few of David's games last week and was annoyed that the game history wasn't available for it. Now I can see exactly how the spectacular mate came about!
Wow I'm famous. I was so pleased with my result against David that a number of other games fell apart and my grade plummeted. As for the discussion on this thread,...

I do not understand the point of using chess engines on this site since we are not playing for money and it would seem sad to expect to earn respect that way. But if other people use engines they still only get to make legal moves with the same pieces and maybe that gives me a harder game. Well all I want is a good game and nothing else matters to me. It is not losing I mind but blundering.

I do use opening books and I would have a lower grade otherwise but it is very rare that I can follow a book for long without having to start exercising judgement. I often get to that ominous plus sign and start losing at once. With strong opponents a knowledge of openings is taken for granted and even with help from books I am struggling still to establish a good opening repertoire. The process is about starting to understand the strategy and typical tactics, not reading off a list of moves. Often (eg the Grunfeld) I just conclude after many games that I cannot play that type of game at all.

What I do MOST however is solve chess problems and once in a while that helps me to discover a tactic like the ending of my game with David Tebb.

Possiby the best proof this was not played by an engine is that it was not forced and David had to help a little - for which I am eternally grateful. In fact I missed a trick (Q could take the B on h6 earlier than it did) and I think he relaxed because he thought I had let him off the hook. Psychology is not what engines do best.
