Is it possible to checkmate with just King and Bishop. Opponent has only his King remaining????????
Look carefully, for wherever you place the White king (unfortunately G7 is not a legal option) it cannot simultaneously threaten the squres H7 and G8, so no mate can occur.
Why didn't you just take the rook with your bishop on move 78 or I believe 75 too? Then it would have been an easy win. Game 972111

It is possible as I've done it before ... but the place I saw it was in a game called Majestic Chess, it teaches chess in an unorthadox (though good) method by making it a kind of adventure game! I strongly reccommend it ... I think there's a demo.

Add a Knight instead, and it's possible, albeit difficult. Add a pawn, as long as it isn't a rook pawn who's queening square is opposite of your bishop and it is child's play.
