No... why? let's see worst case scenario.Black king is in the corner only three adjacent squres. Let the king be checked by the bishop taking one of the squares out of the equation:

Look carefully, for wherever you place the White king (unfortunately G7 is not a legal option) it cannot simultaneously threaten the squres H7 and G8, so no mate can occur.

It is possible to stalemate though. Moot point anyway considering it would be draw due to lack of mating material.

why would you ask that???? That is like in the basics of chess rule.

Why didn't you just take the rook with your bishop on move 78 or I believe 75 too? Then it would have been an easy win. Game 972111

It is possible as I've done it before ... but the place I saw it was in a game called Majestic Chess, it teaches chess in an unorthadox (though good) method by making it a kind of adventure game! I strongly reccommend it ... I think there's a demo.

You're memory on this issue is obviously a little clouded. K+B vs K = draw...every time. There is no piece configuration that = mate. Add a second Bishop and it's easy. Add a Knight instead, and it's possible, albeit difficult. Add a pawn, as long as it isn't a rook pawn who's queening square is opposite of your bishop and it is child's play.

King and 2 Knights v King is also a draw.

King and 3 Knights v King is a tricky win.

It is possible to win with 2 Ns + K v K, although it depends on your opponent making a mistake. Whereas N + K v K and B + K v K are ALWAYS draws.
