Alltho this wasnt against the KID, it was the London System.
My oponent is 150 points or so higher rated then me, and a feracious attacker. I beat him the first game, then he killed me the second. This was the rubber match third game.
I had to get "safe" on him and play that "chicken soup" Opening on him.
Notice how i seem to be ketting killed, but out lasted him.
This was a 3min game, so the quality isi'nt so great, but the principles of the opening can be applied by anyone who studies the opening.
Oh, yea and dont forget to use a dictionary...😀

Is it that hard to stay on topic? What does this game have to do with the thread topic? I don't want to buy your book, stop trying to sell it!

EDIT: What was the point of 6.h3?

The London System is an Anti Kings Indian Defence. This is Entirely on topic.
If you open you eyes and mind to all the possiblites when looking for a suitable opening, then you just might improve.
This opening was taught to a young kid around 6-7 when he was 1300 or so. He's about 8-9 now and close to 2200 USCF.
Im not trying to sell you this book, kid, just trying to mention it to someone out there who might be looking for it, as it is quite rare to find nowadays.

Alright, yea, sorry. I get over-protective of my thread. It's just a bit frustrating when there are over thirty posts in it and maybe four of them are attempts to help.

What are you looking for? Suggestions or an answer to a question?
It seems like your post was for some personal favorites against the KID.
This opening is excellent for Beginner and GM alike.
If someone is playing an aggressive or higher rated player, and follows the Ideas behind the Modern Openings (the other London system book i didnt mention) Or any other London System book, then chances are good you can survive and get to a middlegame alive.
(6.h3 is too tuck the Bf4 in h2 if needed.)
Its called a system because it can be played against a lot of black responses to 1.d4.
Mainly its a set up to combat the KID.
Check Kamsky games for some London system games, or do a search in a database.
It might be called Irregular Queens pawn, or just Queens pawn opening

I have decided to adopt the Four Pawns Attack! It seems to go quite well (cough cough) and is simple enough to understand.

Here is a recent game. All it took was one mistake by Black ...Nbd7, instead of ...c5, and he was just completely rolled over. I advanced pawns up the board, and it was a simple matter of piling on the pressure by placing pieces in the holes he had left.

That's a good choice. If you manage to ge to the ideal Four Pawns setup, you have a slightly better game. The problem is that most black players are familiar with this and since the whole philosophy of the KID is to attack White's nice center after completing development, you still have to be careful not to overextend. Good luck!

Anyway, my weapon against the KID is the Makagonov System. ECO E71. http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessopening?eco=E71

BTW; I have a KID game going on right now: Game 1671283 White's offense might interest you.

Of course white has that desperate b4 followed by c5 on the queenside, but as both kings are on the kingside, black`s attack is usually more dangerous. Also white has to be really careful, because if black gets a chance to close the position (block white pawns) on the queenside, it is practically game over for white...

A great game on Nico's part!
