Which i think is BS....i always develope my bishops into fianchettoes first.
g3 is what I'd probably play, but in practice, for whatever reason, the KID is not one I come across that much. usually its QGD, QGA, or nimzo-Indian. I personally play Nimzo against 1. d4 whenever I'm black.
