Well, King's Indian is my favourite opening. If you like to attack with black play Kings Indian. Though there are some variations as Saemisch where white does get a very strong King side attack. Watch out against it. There are also variations as Four Pawns that look very dangerous but can be cracked easily by Black.
I am at my best playing against the Classical, where white let's black attack his king while he hunts for treasure on Queenside. Really a dangerous treasure hunt as all treasure hunts are.
This is one opening that has never failed me till now.
Yes, I was just telling about the different options that white has against the Kings Indian. In most of the variations Blacks game plan is a general King side advance with e5,f5-f4(white usually replies f3), g4 and then the g4 pawn break if necessary supported by h5. White hangs on the edge(when he castles kingside). One slight mistake means instant death. For black time is extremely important even more than material.
If u see kings indian games they are full of sacrifices by black. I remember a particularly interesting game of Tal(B) against Lasker(if I remember right). He had sacrifices a rook(Ra8 and a piece with no compensation except time and managed to squeeze a win. Great player!!
Sometimes when white castles queenside black takes to attack on the queenside. The game plan consists of a6, Nc6, e5, Na5(better for Qside attack) or Ne7(for play on KSide) or sometimes Nd4 is feasible due to some tactics(white hasn't moved Nge2).
If black goes Na5 than plan is c5,b5,bc4(or if white takes on b4 to sacrifice two pawns and play on the open files), and play on the open b-file.
Another idea for black is to open up the long diagonal. Then the quite black bishop can suddenly become very menacing(called a DRAGON)
