I made decision
Taking into account that during last months I feel that I have too much chess
in my life and my horrible mood today (after playing in one of the
worst OTB blitz tournaments of my life) I had inspiration to take
decision. I r ...[text shortened]... etty depressed
at the moment, the last thing anyone needs is a wise guy taking a
pot shot.
On the plus side, I'm higher rated than Korch for what is likely to be the only time ever!
Korch appeared to me always to speak only logical sense from the few postings I was aware of and remained civil and friendly always despite the obvious ocassional provocation. A chess knowledgable person with some interesting chess posts, will be missed by all who were aware of his useful contributions---------------:'(

eh is a pretty cool guy, he wins his opponents and doesn't afraid of anything.
It's not a wake or anything like that - there is a vast difference between a leg-pull and a kicking.
I kind of liked the wee English slip up's. He used to carry off some
good arguments even though English was not his language.
So need to apollogise SH76 - it's all good clean fun.

Good of you to take over the Chess Warriors by the way.

Petrosian, from a strategic point of view, was dominating Amsterdam 1956. It was a World Championship Candidates Tournament. He could have won. He held winning positions in games against Bronstein and Spassky and Smyslov (the ultimate victor). As you know, Spassky and Smylsov ultimately became world champions. (And Bronstein, many feel, was the true winner of the world title match against Botvinnik in 1951.)
Yet Petrosian lost all three crucial games in Amsterdam.
He decided to give up chess.
To abandon chess.
How did the Soviet press react? They unfairly hounded and heckled him from chess. Yes, you coward, leave.
Yet Petrosian came back.
And I hope you will, too, Korch.
You know you still owe me a game. "
