It was really amusing to listen to him rave about the evil program, but of course he was addicted to it and loved it as much as he hated it.

Possibly it was Fritz 8 Chess De s not recommended for the easily offended! "

Have you ever played the Ivan the Conqueror chess game? Lots of trash talk and funny.

LOL - checked it out there...

"a 500 word vocabulary to insult and threaten you in a deep, commanding voice"

Kramnik wouldn't have a hope in hell.

I wonder if, somehow, this was deliberate.....

After Kasparov v Deep Blue, lots of people claim that kasparov "only lost" because he failed to spot an "easy" draw in game (2?)

however, I have no idea why he would sacrifice 500K for his reputation.

I thought about that too, maybe he still gets the 500k under the table ;-)

If he wanted to lose, I'm sure he could come up with a less embarassing way of doing it.

Yes, I found it a bit difficult to understand, too. But I understood that he was saying that he has no explanation for his last move, he wasn't feeling tired or unwell, and he finds it very strange himself.

he kept trying to shoot himself with his finger the whole interview though. I guess that's understandable.

but all in all, kramnik took it a lot better than korchnoi did. 🙂

That's what I thought, too. 😀 I first saw the interview without sound (because my computer at work refused to make a sound for some reason), which was kind of interesting. He didn't look happy...
