I posted this link on reddit.com's chess forum this morning, and have been getting some pretty good feedback - right now 14 upvotes, and no downvotes... http://redd.it/hvkeo, so I thought I would post it here as well.

It is an article I wrote where I looked at a bunch of games (most of them from RHP, taken from the "Mate in less than 20 moves" thread), where black was mated with "Legals' Mate".
It was interesting, because in most of them, both white and black played incorrectly. In only a few of the games was the key Nxe5 move played at the correct time. I did some analysis of when this "pseudo sacrifice" works and when it doesn't work.
I think that you will find it interesting, and may even recognize some of the names from the games 🙂
Cheers,
Timmy
