Looking for a chees util

Hello,
Can anyone point me to a chess util (maybe a free engine?!) that can accomplish this simple task: output # all legal moves at a certain position.

The Shredder Classic download has a window you can open that will list all legal moves. It's a 30 day free trial offer.

I don't know if the engine itself is as strong as they claim. Some of its moves looked odd to me.
