Hi all, anyone out there that can suggest a chess club in Dublin suitable for a beginner, after playing here for a year, I am going to take the plunge into the OTB world. West of the city or city centre is good.
Hope this is the right place to ask this question.
    Thanks

I think Elm Mount might be a good choice. They have teams all the way down the leagues and I think they do some coaching. They're in Drumcondra, near Tolka Park.

Oh, he does. Parnell's brother makes a brief appearance playing chess in Bewley's.
