This is the last few moves from a game I played while drinking a few beers with some new buddies in the trailer park. Its a Queens indian that lead us to the following position.
We played with Fischer time controls 1+1s - so it was a quickie.

Nd4 {From here Na5 is good for me but I knew this newcomer wasnt looking to trade down} g5 18. Bg3 f5 19. f4 {He made a mistake! I sipped from my beer and thought on the knockout} gxf4 20. Bxf4 {Schhhwing!} e5 21. Bg3 exd4 22. cxd4 Nxd4 {What a juicy spot to be in} 23. Kh1 {...that wont help you} Ne2 24. Rxf5 {bad time to be greedy. You got a pawn but now you owe me a beer.} Nxg3# 0-1
id like to see more annotations with terms like, Schhhwing! its so much more
descriptive than, white has a considerable advantage here or worse still, +/- 🙂
1. c4 e5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. Nf3 Nc6 4. e3 {He's going for d4.} 4... d5 5. cxd5 Nxd5 {A pure reversed Siclian. I don't mind I'll sac something to win back the tempo.} 6. Bb5 Nxc3 {Later on as more pints gets sunk I will no doubt play Bd6 first and lose my d5 Knight.} 7. bxc3 Bd6 8. d4 O-O {Time to get his nibs out of the way.} 9. O-O {White thinks the same.} 9... Bd7 {Have an e-pawn, your King is safe, what harm can it do? (Actually I cannot recall if we both castled first before d4 but this is the position alright.)} 10. Bxc6 Bxc6 {White pauses for a Blitz think, if 11.dxe5 then 11...Bxf3 so....} 11. Nxe5 Bxe5 12. dxe5 Qg5 {I've got my tempo back.} 13. g3 Qxe5 14. Qc2 {Anticipates Rd8 and holds the c-pawn.} 14... Rad8 15. Rd1 {Too mechanical but typical B & B Chess (Blitz and Beer). 15...Rxd1+ wins the c-pawn...sits on hands...take a swig of pint....spots shot...} 15... Qe4 {The simple pleasure of making such moves is lost on non-players.} 16. Qxe4 Rxd1+ 17. Kg2 Bxe4+ {White resigned.}
Thread kind of reminds of some the glorious nights in Bells or in The Edinburgh Club.
A group of chess players sitting around like comedians swapping jokes.
One game reminds another player of another game and so it goes on and on.
I found this from RHP. Joe210 - davidt RHP 2004.
Recognise the patterns. This one has a different twist.

2... g4 3. g3 {White stops the march of the g-pawn and creates non-luft (that is giving the King a bolt hole that is already covered.)} 3... Qe4 {Now 4.f3 saves the day but gives White an awful position after 3...QxQ and gxf3. The e-pawn just runs up the board.} 4. Qxe4 Rd1+ 5. Kg2 Bxe4+ {This fork decides matters and Black resigned not allowing us to see....} 6. f3 gxf3+ 7. Kf2 Bxc2 8. Bxc2 Rd2+ {...the other fork.}

Ah... I like that one Mr. Pawn. Bells must be a pub or bar then? Sounds like a good spot. I live in a 33 ft. 5th wheel - so I play on the picnic tables in RV resorts. Always fun to tip a few back and play a few. This one here I played a couple months back in El Segundo Ca.
This position rose up from my pet french line and I nab a philidor out of it.
