Already in my section SeinfeldFan91 has just resigned with no moves played v cenerentola & mihai52. (what does he know that we don't?)
I'll plod on but my first thought was to resign them all. This time scale is far too long for me. The fist round took over a year to complete. I really need quick movers (OTB play) to spring my traps, tricks and thuggery.
But it's Tally Ho and up at em'. I've already sacked a piece after 4 moves. Game 11727637

I guess Ragwort knows the same thing. He resigned vs. Mihai52 and Cenerentola on move 1 as well.
If you look through Mihai52's games you'll see a history of this sort of thing happening against a wide variety of players.
Yes, like GP I considered a first move withdrawal against everyone in this round, but have left it at those two for now. I'll enjoy the quick games and see about the remainder when it comes to it. As to the elephants in the room, both have been discussed on this forum before, and that is another reason not to dedicate that many short lifetime hours to moves.
The time is bit slow, which is good and bad,...mostly bad for me.
A few of the lads are galloping along with me but others.......🙁
Here is a possible swindled win.

1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 f5 {As one insect says to the other. 'earwig go again'.} 3. d4 {The move I usually play when facing my wee pet opening.} 3... fxe4 4. Nxe5 Nf6 5. Bg5 d6 {Now the move is either 6.Nc3 or 6.Nd2.} 6. Nc4 {I've never seen this before. It has possible potential.} 6... Be7 7. Nc3 O-O 8. Ne3 {That Knight on e3 is a pain...as you will see.} 8... Nc6 {Maybe 8....c6 but I like developing pieces. Had enough pawn moves.} 9. Bc4+ Kh8 10. a3 {Probably worried about Na4 Bishop hunting. Maybe OK but looks like a lost tempo to me.} 10... d5 {So let's kick things off whilst his superior nips (that will be the King) is still uncastled.} 11. Bxf6 Bxf6 12. Bxd5 Bxd4 13. Bxc6 {That decision in conjuction with 10.a3 must be wrong. He wants the Queens off but I have a wee Queens stay on trick.} 13... Bxc3+ 14. bxc3 Qf6 {Thus ensuring the Queens stay on the board. Qxf2 mate.} 15. O-O {15...Qxc6 or 15...bxc6} 15... bxc6 {Keeps the Knight off d5 and a sly Ba6 hitting the f1 Rook which is holding f2 is on the board.} 16. Qd4 {Probably best. I'm not taking the Queens off. Note Bh3 is not a threat. That e3 Knight holds g2.} 16... Qg6 17. Rab1 {He is looking nice and solid....I need luft.} 17... h5 {Aggresive luft.} 18. Rb4 {Now watch how I defend that e-pawn.} 18... Ba6 19. Rd1 {I thought he might. If I now go Rad8 he sacs his Queen for two Rooks with Qxd8.} 19... Be2 20. Re1 {I was thinking Rd2 was the better move.} 20... Bf3 {That is the e-pawn defended.} 21. Kf1 {In hindsight either leave the King on g1, there is no threat, or play Kh1,} 21... Rad8 {By playing 20.Re1 this move now bites because the Queen for two Rooks sac is no longer on.} 22. Qxa7 {I was glad to see that. 22.Qc5 and I'm struggling to keep that f3 Bishop on the board.} 22... Qd6 {The shot he missed. 23.gxf3 Qxh2 and the strong threats are Rd2 and exf3.} 23. g3 h4 {Aggresive luft worked. A Black pseudo Queen sac in there 24.Rd4 hxg3 25.Rxd6 gxh2 wins.} 24. Reb1 {That's wrong. Now I'm in. 24.Kg1 answering 24...hxg3 with 25. fxg3 and we still have a game on our hands.} 24... hxg3 25. fxg3 {25. hxg3 (the best try) I was going to slip in 25...c5 then play Qh6 because it covers a flight square. See next analysis game.} 25... Qd2 {White played 26.Rb8 Bg2+ 0-1 27.Kg1 Qf2 mate. The mate I had on my board went along these lines....} 26. Kg1 Bd1 27. Rxd1 Qf2+ 28. Kh1 Rxd1+ 29. Nxd1 Qf3+ 30. Kg1 Qf1

Qh6 {This looks good but 25...c5 first is best as you will see.} 26. Ke1 Qh1+ 27. Nf1 Bg2 {If now 28 Ke2 then 28...Qxf1+ 29 Rxf1 Bf3+ and Rd1 Mate.} 28. Qa6 {This all looks forced and I'm winning because Black has.} 28... Rd3 {And again if 29.Ke2 the Queen sac with Qxf1+ works.} 29. cxd3 Qxf1+ 30. Kd2 Rxf2+ 31. Ke3 Qe2+ {And he is running to d4...So if I'm thinking play c5 before Qh6. The flight square d4 is covered and see where the Rook goes/ if the Rook goes to c4 White has no Qa6 defence holding f1.}
And did you spot the lemon I nearly walked into....
