2. Analyse the game yourself first before asking for advice - I'm quite sure you are capable of doing this yourself. Ask only when you can't figure it out by yourself.
1. I'm trying but so far without success. Think many players are reluctant to play p1200's
2. I got excellent advice from greenpawn after my first game. If you don't want to give me advice (fair enough), why post here in the first place??

It was advice, but probably not the kind of advice you want. Your play was near faultless (well done) and the game was very short - this nearly always happens when you are clearly much better than your opponent - so it isn't very useful to go over the game (for your part, at least).

I understand it was a short game and that I ought to find better opponents. But when you say my play was near faultless (thank you!) what I want to know is where I made my errors! If you know where, you could tell me...!

I could be wrong, but I think that "near faultless" means that there he believes that there are no errors worth dissecting and that you're better off analyzing other games instead. And if Schakuhr says so, you would be wise to listen.

My blitz stinks but I think I just played my best blitz game so far (which only means that I didn't do any horrible blunders - as far as I know, that is!)

And another one!

I know I might be somewhat carried away but my blitz seem to get better this evening 😀

Did white run out of time? Otherwise, I don't see why he would resign, especially in blitz.

He ran out of time, yes. Being 2 pawns up my position was ok for me

Actually, you were one pawn up. He had doubled pawns, but you had a weak backwards a-pawn and he had a very strong knight on c5. I'd call that position close to even... maybe a slight edge to black.

In the second game you played:

would 6. dxe5 not have been better? To me it looks like you get a piece out of it. If he moves his bishop away from the threat then it looks like 7. Qd5 would either get you a knight or a mate. If 7 ...Ng5 then 8. Nxg5 and you're still threatening mate...

I think you're right, 6.dxe5 looks good. I didn't see 7.Qd5...I just thought 6.dxe5 would close down the e-file in which I was not interested.
