WARNING ! WARNING !! WARNING !!!
A player that goes by "cerspim" will skull you at the first opportunity.
Even if you post a vacation notice he will skull you.
I had the opportunity to skull him without a vacation warning and did the sportsman like action of not doing so.
If you check his public game history you will see that he has several "time out" victories". Now you know why.
He is a spineless wimp of a chess player.

Originally posted by Oscar Ouh.. So? My suggestion to you would be to only accept and make invites that have appropriate time controls. Timebank is great for this.

Considering he isn't a subscriber playing games within the agreed time controls is probably more important to him as he can only play 6 concurrently...
Don't let an occasional timeout or game deletion sour you on
playing here. That would be your loss.
Most of us probably respect vacations and such, but I'm sure not everyone takes the time. And time is part of the game, so just note the earlier posts regarding timebanks, and chalk it up to experience.
No worries mate!

we don't have time to wait on you...
we will take the win, and start a game...
especially the non-subs
like me...
get used to it...
i personally never skull anyone who has the vacation flag up, or has otherwise notified me of his/her absence from the virtual chessboard. however i understand people who take timeouts and i do not consider it bad sportmansip, after all, it is the time control right?
i also recommend using the timebank option. just set the timebank somewhere between 7 and 14, hocus pocus problem solved, no more timeouts...
finally i would like to mention that i consider it rather bad manners to post this kind of text about another user on a public forum. give it some thought...

The skull is a ethical nightmare. I recently had the chance to timeout someone rated 200 points over me. I didn't do it, his rank fell to near mine, and now he is about to win. Do I regret it??.... my rating doesn't mean anything and I'm here to get better at chess. So taking a timeout is a personal choice. People should just do what they want.
If the system permits time outs, it's never wrong to take the skull. It's a just matter of ethics.
If anyone is on vacation but has time to make postings, I don't consider him really on vacation. I wouldn't mind skulling him out.
When I'm on vacation, I try to make all games restistant to time outs by making all neccesarey moves before I go. I also give every opponents a personal mail telling him when I'll be back. Then I hope for their sympathy if I can't make the moves.
Then I take the time outs and rating lossees as a man and don't cry about it.
Originally posted by FabianFnasEh that doesn't always work. I love my 1/x games however recently I was skulled on a couple of them because an Ice storm caused me to lose power for 36 hours. After that I was busy with my family for another 12 and lost a pair of games. Life goes on.
