New Chess Organization for Amateurs?

Hi all, while browsing through Facebook, a friend invited me to following site:

www.amateurchess.com

Looks quite commercial in my opinion... do you guys know anything about them? Seems like those guys want to crush FIDE 😀 Crazy

The head honcho is a German and president of an NGO, so yes, it would appear to be a political manoeuvre against FIDE by people who don't like the current president of same.
A shame; actually an amateur chess organisation wouldn't be a bad idea.

I was thinking the same thing, but it's not clear to me where he is going with all this, or what it will actually mean to us.
