he was at a tournament and i guess his opponents father threatened him.....trying to scare him into resigning or losing on purpose.

He was Nigel Short. I whupped him in the first game and he said he was warming up. I said, "omg a real GM!", he didn't deny it and said his real ELO was 2600 and asked me if I had a BCF rating. I got to play another game. He said he was gonna trash me. And I whupped him again. It really is Nigel Short! There's no other explanation for his bad play!
