Just wanted to remind everyone to PM me with the results, rather than post them on here... I may miss stuff on here. I won't miss a PM.

Well... that equal position wasnt mine. It was from a database. Which as far as the rules go is ok, but I realized that I was playing someone elses game, not mine. I never would have reached that position if I had played on my own.

I am here to play chess, not to copy from a database. That wont happen again. Where's the creativity in it?

Sometimes the beauty of databases is finding moves better than the suggested database move. It gives you the feeling of out thinking a master, amazing.

Anyways, first round seems to be coming okay, I just ask that people PM me with the result. I'd like the subject to go along the lines of 'Round (whatever we're in) results - (white player) vs. (black player).

Then in the email, post the game and result. It makes my job a little bit easier.

Note - Check my profile for details regarding remaining players in the tournament.

Why don't you give us a comprehensive list of games here so we can watch?

Oh man...the Restless Soul vs. scubily match is an absolute nailbiter. Gonna need the LARGE bucket of popcorn for that one.

It's your call and you decide. But you could go on for yourself from there on. I've been surprised with myself sometimes because when i go and analyze my games i discover that i did book moves. And the secret to make those kind of moves is stop and look at the board. Some are pretty easy to spot and others you just have to think harder.

Novel idea. Is there any idea when another non-members tourney might be held? I'd love to participate.

Actually, it's not novel, it's just that most people aren't willing to do the work to get it started. They just whine about how the site doesn't set up tournaments for non-subs.

I could have went forward myself... after I stood on the shoulders of someone else.

If Patzergrl wants to, I could play another "Rnd 1" game...I've left my game space open.
