When was this? I don't remember playing that game.... Was it blitz?

It doesn't matter because in the muzio I always play 6... Qg7 as black though nothing is wrong with Qf6 I just don't play it... I like to leave f6 open for my knight and 11....Ne7 is a terrible move although you didn't follow up with 12.Qb3+ or 12.Be5 but 12.Nc3 was good enough apparently. Well, all I can say is you played a good game and I guess I played a horrible one although I don't remember it 😕 all I remember is a recent french game we played. Looking at it some more 12.Nc3 is best but "I" could put up a better fight with 12...d5... Anyway here is the only game I remember playing against you. Game 5373111

yeah thats right it was a blitz game, easy to overlook, this is a double Muzio although i have to admit it does manifest a striking resemblance to this famous game played in Russia in 1954

lol, actually greenpawn it was on a video that i was watching, Andrew Martin the ABC of something, i think it was, was that mean and underhanded of me, entirely out of character. but i wanted to have a little fun with tomtom, hehehe, and i would have got away with it, if it wasn't for you pesky kids!

Good game - backs up everything i've always said and know
that in under 1400/1500 games the attacker will win 90%
of the games due to poor defending.

Black had loads of chances to thwart the attack - justice done? Yes.

Lesson learned? - doubt it.

Flank attacks have to met with extreme violence in the centre.
