I don`t know about for you guys, but if I play more than ten games my performance starts dropping so I keep it around 10-15.
I am playing some people in tournaments and they are playing more than 100 games, and have totally forgotten about the game, let alone what moves they were going to make!
Depends on if you are asking about the mean, median or the mode.....not to mention any of the other methods for producing an average.
It does kind of boggle me how some folks have upwards of 50 or 100 games afloat.
But then, I was never too good at juggling - let alone doing it whilst I play chess. 🙂

All kinds of means 🙂.
The median would be the best "average." Half of the players play more, half pay less. An arithemetic "mean average" wouldn't give as much information because the extremes would drag the average number in that direction.
Originally posted by coquette I have about 10 games with heng and most of them are dormant, just sitting there with the clock ticking down. We'll see what happens.
Actually, I went and counted and I have 18 of those games with heng, and they are almost all sitting stale most of the time.

but he moves just before his time runs out.
I wonder how long he can keep that up as a backlog builds.
