Well he's doing OK now, I actually don't think he resigns either. And when I log in and occasionally check his profile, he's not usually active.

I would personally prefer an absolute maximum of 30 games. Although I have definitely gone over.
That would work well. 20 games for me...though I'm at 40. Since december I joined 4 tourneys and somehow have made it to Round 2 on 3/4 of them so lowering games is tough.

10 would work well for me. Unfortunately I was an idiot and signed up for various tournaments and then agreed to be part of a clan league and so on. I have 34 currently on the go and my brain has decided to go on holiday without taking the rest of me with it.

Splits are a nightmare, 22 new games at a time, although they're fun I doubt I'll enter another one untill my game load is really low.

The idea is to blitz the "easy" ones and complete them quickly.

That might concede the odd draw or loss but when the game load is down you have the time to concentrate on the serious opposition. I usually have halved the game load ofb a split in 7-10 days.

If I have less than 70 games going I feel I have no cyber life.

The guy was/is in a tournament, where I'm playing aswel... It's a pain in the behind having fast pased games overall and one character like this stalling...

Knocked him out though with a perfect mate in move 12 (Game 3689258) and a punishing time-out claim (Game 3689255).

Honestly, I don't understand how someone like him can enter a tournament that is supposed to run and finish in one month...

Absolutely. RHP allows you to have your maximum number. You set it and you don't go over. What a nice feature!
actually you can go over easily when a tournment round starts or when you are in a clan, in which the captain ignores your "maximum"
