    Underrated
    English opening.
    Pirc.
    Russian.
    French.

    Overrated
Berlin defence (I've never had any problems. Perhaps things are different at GM level ).
Najdorf (other sicilians cause me more truble, since I'm not usel to them).

Hardly fair SG. You started from here. Game 10271881

CP never had the chance to go for the ending. πŸ˜‰

You could say The Fried Liver Attack is a tad over-rated.
Players think the White attack plays itself and wins all the time.
On here (from the above position and not counting SG's flukey win).

    White wins: 969
    Draws: 74
    Black wins: 616

His statement was correct, but we did get into an ending of sorts, I just failed to win it. Here's the counterpart to the game Game 10271882 we played a set piece FLA match, one game with each color, white won both games. Many theorists feel the FLA is a win for black... theory is only as good as the practitioners. πŸ™‚

Thinks it was an endgame because he centralized his King. πŸ™„

You have to admit, it ended the game. πŸ˜›

Every opening I have tried is over-rated and every
opening my opponent uses is under-rated.

I have a book on the Pirc. I have probably played that and center counter more then anything else as black on blitz games.

Colle is good place to start if you want to play queens pawn, but you need to know when to abandon it for something sharper.

I would want to find about a bakers dozen more sharper. Only one would get so boring to play 1000's of times. I don't know how people do that and not get bored? I play this one person blitz and all he opens with is c4 and e5 as black.
