    One for the trooper
The puzzle is meant for 1400-1500's and below.Maybe 1600's too, can't really judge it.

    You're playing black.White,a 1900+ rated player,has just played Nf4 and offered a draw.
    What do you do?Accept?Decline?And why?

Here's the solution.Should've included that in the first post.

    1.... Nxg2+ 2.Nxg2 h3 3.Nf4 (or anywhere else) h2 and the pawn queens or 1.... Nxg2+ 2.Nxg2 h3 3.Kf2 (or f1) h2!! and queens

white could just ignore his knight and hunt the pawn, hence forcing a draw?
  8. 20 Jul '10 09:19
    No.
    1... Nxg2+ 2.Kf2? Nxf4 3.Kf3 h3! 4.Kg3

The pawn is protected by the knight.
The knight cannot be taken because then the pawn queens.
The black king will now cross over to help.
    White is helpless.

    ...Nxg2+!!, Nxg2

    black's pawn can't be stopped

Black's pawn queens if draw is declined and black makes the right moves.

    You're playing that 1900 guy again.This time you're down a piece.What do you do?
