Great queen sac by Torre-Repetto. I don't understand 28. g3 - why is that necessary?
Torre-Repetto was a great attacking player. He reminds me of Greenpawn (*)
(*) Obviously not because of their style or ability at the chessboard, but because they were both arrested for stripping off on a bus (in fact this has happened to Greenpawn no less than seventeen times).
Jeez, no wonder this guy went mad - he obviously had a strong, barely suppressed urge to hurt women and took it out on his queens every time he sat at a chess board, hurling their lives away for little or no reason. I wouldn't have liked to have been in his wife's shoes (*) when he gave up chess.
(*) Actually I probably would have quite enjoyed being in his wife's shoes, but we all have our little peccadilloes.

The games you show are kids stuff.
I'll show you Greenpawn v Patell Hastings 1990.
I sac a Queen to promote three pawns into Queens and I then
sac each Queen, both Rooks, Both Bishops and Both Knights.
I am down to one pawn and mate him.
The rest of the competitors put down their pens and applauded.
They carried shoulder high around Hastings and to this day they still
mention my name and this game in whispers.
Here it is - hold onto your hats.
1 Edit: Sorry cannot remember the game - never mind.
