What is the formula for converting FIDE to ECF ratings?
If I remember correctly it was FIDE-800/6 for BCF. Is it still the same?
http://www.englishchess.org.uk/grading/database/
ECF x 8 + 650 = FIDE
(FIDE - 650) / 8 = ECF
ECF x 8 + 600 = National Elo
(National Elo - 600) / 8 = ECF
And that means they think the FIDE ratings are inflated by 50 elo points over National Elo grades. (Scottish, KNSB, USCF etc)

Now that you mention it, most guys I know with a FIDE rating have it higher than their national one.
