i just won a game and my rating did not change. whats up with that?

Maybe Russ' rating engine is conflicting with another automatic engine on the site?

Or else it was the fact that your opponent was rated nearly 1000 points below you.

The rule of 597. Learn it, know it.

EDIT: The rule of 597 only applies when R < 2099. I'm too lazy to work out what the rule is for different K values.
