I was waiting for ages to come out with my queen and was hoping the knight sacrifice wasn't too dumb.
still, I wonder: if he instead would have put his white bishop in between, would there still be a mating sequence? I think I would definitely be able to get his rook though.

With all due respect, may I suggest if you find these kinds of posts boring, either don't read then after you see the ratings of the players involved or don't reply.
Hopefully, players at every level enjoy their games and find them engrossing, despite their inaccuracies. Having an accomplished player dismiss their efforts as boring is boorish. How would you have us lower level players behave on public forums? Posts titled "My most recent game was imperfect- forgive me if I enjoyed it and wanted to share the experience"?
