It's impossible to decide on a definitive line unless we know what Fritz is going to do. I have np problem with discussing potentially several moves into the game, but there are a lot of possibilites here - Nc6, Nf6, d6, etc...

Assuming Nc6 I'd go with the Ruy. I'm more familiar with it than any other. However, it also leads to positional games oftentimes.

Isn't the Scotch highly tactical?

As much as I like the Evans,I don't think it would be a good choice.I think we'd have to play very accurate to just draw with it.Besides,I think fritz will opt for the 2 knights 🙂
