I was wondering if anyone who doesn't actually speak Russian has read/owns any.

I have read that the book Russian For Chessplayers is a good guide to understanding it.
Does anyone have that one?

Can someone give a small score to a game in Russian and then include the pgn?

Thanks

I speak Russian and I have quite a few Russian chess books. Usually they are excellent, but the best of them were translated into English so there is no problem with language.

Hello,

I don't speak Russian and don't have any chess books in Russian,
but if you would like to test your "understanding" of Russian,
check this link with Russian chess books to download:

I have Botvinnik's Best Games in Russian - my brother won it as a prize many years ago. Of very little use as I can't understand what the great man is saying!

Here's a link to a funny little article which appeared on ChessBase a while back - scroll down past the photos to find out how an online translator deals with chess in Russian : ) Lots of elephants!

Funny Stuff 🙂

I noticed Babel Fish on that site. (That's what they used.)

Could I use that?

How would I get the words in with a standard keyboard?
